Song lyrics; Bright Green - Some Type Of Way
The way you used to talk when you were mad
Affected the way I spoke
Years down the road when I lost hope
I think I get my sense of right and wrong
From what you tried to build it on
'Cause I was listening all along
If I took these hands and I sat me down
And I took this thing and wrote you a song now
Would that be so wrong now?
If I walked on by, would I catch you eye?
Would you recognize?
Did you know I'm blonde now?
Have you just moved on now?
'Cause it's true
You called it like you saw it
Yeah, I guess that you already knew
It's 'cause of you
TV and alcoholics taught you all the good things you turned into
And I'm me because you're you
It's more than TV shows and movies
Though I still remember them all
And I think of how I got sad every fall
But you made memories on Halloween
And somehow lit a spark in me
And you always answer when I call
If I took these keys and I took this cash
And drove to your house
Would you put it past me?
Would you think I'm nasty?
If I put my hands back on your waist and I kissed your face
Would you be happy or be mad at me?
'Cause it's true
You called it like you saw it
Yeah, I guess that you already knew
It's 'cause of you
TV and alcoholics taught you all the good things you turned into
And I'm me because you're you
Yeah, I'm me because you're you
'Cause it's true
(I guess it's true)
You called it like you saw it
Yeah, I guess that you already knew
It's 'cause of you
(Because of you)
TV and alcoholics taught you all the good things you turned into
All the good things you turned into
